Kirwani raga is a scale that resonates with the same feeling one feels looking at a lone full moon in the night sky. There is a hint of loneliness but it’s not all-consuming. There is life, hope, intrigue, beauty and the night is filled with night flowers too :) Both the compositions set in teentaal are composed by the legendary Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan. - Neha Mahajan
