Louis Island is a South African singer-songwriter inspired by a childhood spent exploring Cape Town's coastlines and mountains. Influenced by the intimate guitar playing and emotive lyrics of artists such as Ben Howards and Bon Iver, he embraces the authentic, organic feel achieved when recording folk instruments, to conjure up sentimental and hopeful scenes through his music.
